I've wanted to rank the Ticket hosts and on-air personalities since Greggo was still a part of the Hardline. I guess now's as good a time as any. These rankings aren't based on anything specific (sports knowledge, managing the back side, etc) just on their entertainment factor overall. That's what compels me to listen. Trying not to be negative about any of them, I'd say the top 10 are "strong to quite strong."
1. Gordon Keith: The king of the ticket
2. Craig Miller: The traffic cop
3. Dan McDowell: Yin to Bobs yang
4. George Dunham: All purpose radio pro
5. Bob Sturm: Sports bully
6. Danny Balis: Keeps the Hardline out of the ditch
7. Jake Kemp: Up and coming Ticket star
8. Mike Sirois: Props Norm up
9. Mike Rhyner: Still great when he's interested
10. TC: Underrated. That boy good
11. Dave Lane: Entertaining, except for the gay Brit-rock
12. Norm Hitzges: Love his NFL coverage
13. Donovan: Occasionally funny, good stage presence
14. Sean Bass: Good sidekick for Jake
15. Tom Gribble: Italian guy makes me gigle
16. Rich Phillips: Likes 80's metal
17. Ty Walker: Inspired the drop "Shut up Ty!"
18. Jeremy Moran: Perfect drop timing
19. Fernando: Does he really even exist?
20. Corby Davidson: Ranks higher than Bruce Levine

BaD Radio... All is as it should be
I must admit, over the recent possibility of Bob an Dan defecting to the Fan, I was excited. I like BaD radio and would have followed them to their new station. I also like the Ben and Skin show, so it didn't matter to me which show was in which spot. As long as I had an alternative to the Hardline I'd be content, but that is a conversation for another day.
Now that the smoke has cleared and we know that all will stay the same (for now), I am glad BaD radio is staying right where they belong, at the little Ticket. While I didn't hear all of the Musers BaD discussion this morning, I heard a Gordon sum it up perfectly. There is an organic type of chemistry that can't be replicated or taken somewhere else. (I'm paraphrasing of course) More specifically, Bob and Dan could have had mostly the same discussions and opinions and shared them at a different station, but they could not have taken all the intangibles that make BaD radio what it is. They couldn't bring their drops, mixes, ticket-centric discussions, on-air tension, racial tension, and nut kicking of others. Those are all things unique to the Ticket, and likely would not translate well. Bob and Dan realize that, which is why they are such polar opposites yet don't want to split up. It just works.
Just as the main ingredients of spaghetti are meat and pasta, its all the sauce and spices that make it delicious. Without sauce, it will still "make a turd", but it won't taste near as good.

Positioning Statement
It would only make sense to begin this blog with an introduction to let visitors know what I'm about and what the P1 Roundtable is about.
I'm a Ticket P1. If you don't know what that means, you're probably Not going to have much interest in things discussed here. My favorite Ticket show is the Musers and Gordon Keith is my leader. I don't listen to Norm outside of the NFL season. I like BaD radio and I'm pleased they've agreed to stay with the little Ticket after recent contract negotiations. I feel like The Hardline has run its course, Mike Rhyner has lost interest in the show, and Corby has very little to offer.
As far as guidelines for the P1 Roundtable, let's just keep it civil and decent. If you want to blast somebody, please be able to substantiate your position. I want to hear your thoughts and opinions, but nobody likes a pigeon who just flies in, shits on everything, and leaves. If we can all adhere to this we're good.
So, with all that said, let's go.
Enjoy,
Sergeant at Arms
