BaD Radio... All is as it should be

I must admit, over the recent possibility of Bob an Dan defecting to the Fan, I was excited. I like BaD radio and would have followed them to their new station. I also like the Ben and Skin show, so it didn't matter to me which show was in which spot. As long as I had an alternative to the Hardline I'd be content, but that is a conversation for another day.

Now that the smoke has cleared and we know that all will stay the same (for now), I am glad BaD radio is staying right where they belong, at the little Ticket. While I didn't hear all of the Musers BaD discussion this morning, I heard a Gordon sum it up perfectly. There is an organic type of chemistry that can't be replicated or taken somewhere else. (I'm paraphrasing of course) More specifically, Bob and Dan could have had mostly the same discussions and opinions and shared them at a different station, but they could not have taken all the intangibles that make BaD radio what it is. They couldn't bring their drops, mixes, ticket-centric discussions, on-air tension, racial tension, and nut kicking of others. Those are all things unique to the Ticket, and likely would not translate well. Bob and Dan realize that, which is why they are such polar opposites yet don't want to split up. It just works.

Just as the main ingredients of spaghetti are meat and pasta, its all the sauce and spices that make it delicious. Without sauce, it will still "make a turd", but it won't taste near as good.

  1. I agree about BAD radio but ben and skin are terrible. They come off as jock sniffers. I would still rather listen to THL than them. Plus the fan drags down everybody that goes there. Good choice by bob and dan.

  2. I only caught a little of the 12 noon segment where Bob and Dan were discussing the events of the past weekend. Was there any insight on where Donnie stood, i.e. what would have happened to him?

  3. I missed the first minute but I didn't hear anything said about that. He wasn't in contract negotiations and I don't think they really want him anyway.

  4. Towards the end of Bad today it was mentioned that Donnie doo was looking forward to being promoted to at least being part of a show in which his name might be included. I like Donovan but he's a zero sum player in my view. He doesn't really add much, doesn't take away much. He's just kinda there. A chuckle here, an agreement there... An ambassador to the hood I suppose.

Thanks to everyone who has stopped by. Extra thanks to those who left comments. I'll have more tomorrow. Please check back often.
